Members of the Social Justice Team nominate and discuss potential movies. which are then discussed. Movies
are selected because they deal with relevant past, present and/or future social justice issues (thus the choice of
Movies With Meaning). Upon acceptance the movies are added to a list of pending movies. The movie’s title, a brief summary, the time and date of the showing in the Fellowship Hall, will be published in the monthly newsletter (The Journey), the church’s Sunday bulletin and announced during Sunday services.
After some Sunday morning worship services educational short videos (length ≈ 5-10 minutes) are shown in the Church Lounge. The Social Justice Team has chosen to term this gathering Things You Never Talk About.
At the conclusion each movie and short video the gathering is opened for audience dialogue. The rules that govern any discussion are — you respectfully listen to the views of all attending, and do no harm with your words.
